How it works

BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

1. Check your wedding date availability by leaving an enquiry. I will generally reply within 24-48 hours.

2. Secure your date with a 35% deposit or payment in full at checkout.

3. Phone consultation: 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding, we will have a full consultation to design your artwork. This could include certain colour schemes, and what you’d like to see included in the painting.

ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

1. Depending on your creative vision, I will arrive 1-2 hours prior to the ceremony starting to begin painting the background and planning your composition. When the guests arrive, the painting will already be underway.

2. Once your ceremony or the moment you’d like to see painted begins, I’ll capture you and your husband/wife and sketch it out on the canvas.

3. By the end of the night, your painting will look mostly complete and I will come find you to show you your painting before I leave. Depending on which package you’ve selected, I’d dedicate the time to add more detail to your painting from my studio.

AFTER YOUR WEDDING

1. After your wedding, I will take your painting back to the studio to add in the final details and varnish. This process usually takes around 4-16 weeks depending on the size of your painting.

2. Your painting will be professionally packaged and shipped to you.

    • Studio finished artwork (10 - 12 hours additional studio painting time)
    • Delivery of artwork within 10-12 weeks

    • 60cm x 76cm painting on premium cotton stretched canvas.
    • Highest grade oil and acrylic paints used on-site, finished with lightfast oil paint at the studio.
    • Studio finished artwork (up to 20 hours additional studio painting time)
    • Delivery of artwork within 15 - 18 weeks

FAQ

What is the difference between the packages?

The biggest difference between the packages is the size of canvas. The larger the artwork, the longer it takes to complete and more detail is able to be put into it. This means studio time is longer, to ensure you receive the best possible detail to your painting.

Will I be able to take my painting home on the night?

The reason why you wouldn’t be able to take your painting home on the night of your wedding is because oil based paints take weeks to dry. In my studio I’ll be adding more detail while it slowly dries, to get in as much detail as possible. I’ll also be coating it with a glossy varnish that will help protect your beautiful piece from dust and decolouration over time.

Do I need to prepare anything for you at my wedding?

I use a travel easel to bring all necessary items. However, for later in the night, a power point nearby would be needed to ensure I can plug in my light source while you are dancing away on the dance floor!

How much of deposit do I need to book your service?

A 35% non refundable deposit is requested at checkout to secure your date of booking. If the deposit has not been completed, your date will be marked as available for other possible clients.
Prior to your booking, a phone consult with Amara would have happened to ensure your date is available and Amara is able to attend your event.

Can you paint my wedding day that has already passed?

Absolutely! After you leave an enquiry, I can let you know my availability for commissioned artworks. After we’ve discussed the details and you are happy with the time frame, you can provide me with a photograph!
