Amara creates custom templated portraits on A5 paper for guests at your selected event. Sketches are in watercolour paint and coloured pencil and can be provided in envelopes or wrapped in cellophane for preservation on the day. Packages are listed below. If the packages do not suit your event, please enquire below and Amara will do her best to suit your event.
Amara has all necessary art supplies for the day. Amara would need your venue to have a table set up for the desired time of the illustrations taking place.
How many illustrations can you create at one event?
On average, Amara can draw 1 guest in roughly 6-10 minutes & 2 guests in roughly 8-12 minutes. Please take into account transition times between each guest/drawing. Amara can approximately draw 4-6 couples or 8-10 guests per hour.
Can you illustrate at weddings?
Absolutely! If you are interested and your wedding is in 2024, feel free to reach out via the contact forum below and I will give you further information around working at your special event! Thanks for understanding!
How do I book you for my wedding day?
You will begin by filling out my inquiry form. If your wedding date is available on my event and design calendar, Amara will discuss with you a suitable package for the day. Amara is always happy to discuss all aspects of your vision for your illustrations to ensure you receive the service and product you absolutely love!
Once you are happy with your package and thoroughly discussed this with Amara. you can proceed to secure your date by directly purchasing your package online.
Please note - until a payment has been made, your date is not secure and can be booked by another customer.
What if some of my guests illustrations aren’t completed at the event?
As I am able to complete roughly 40-50 people in illustrations on the day/night (based on a 6 hour event) I may not be able to finish all the images I’ve taken of your guests at the event. You can add on to your package, where after the event I can finish the illustrations at my studio and send them to you so all your guests who are expecting an illustration will gain their illustrations at a later date and not be disappointed!
Please note the cost will cover up to a specific amount of images based on the package you’ve purchased. Please enquire directly to Amara.
How many hours should I book you for?
I require a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 6 hours per event. In events such as a wedding, I will be drawing during the cocktail hour of your reception to ensure most guests will be able to have a drawing to take home!
During other events, when you would need my service is negotiable to suit your schedule of the day/night.
Can you travel interstate?
Yes absolutely! Ensure that you enquire below as additional fees apply.
Are there any travel fees?
Amara does not charge additional travel fee within 15km of the CBD.
If your event is 15km outside of the CBD, additional costs apply.
Approximately 30 minutes from the CBD is a travel fee of $110

Privacy Policy:
Information collected from customers may include –
Names, phone numbers and/or email addresses of customers or relevant other persons as provided by client
Locations to be attended which may include homes, offices or event venue addresses
Nature of events (wedding, birthday etc)
Information collected may be used for communication about and attendance of events to provide requested drawing services.
This information is not passed on to other persons or organisations (unless it should be lawfully requested by authorities).
Credit card transactions will be processed securely and no card details will be stored by iamamara illustrations.
1. General Terms
By booking a live art illustration session or a live wedding painting with Amara, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and a smooth experience for both parties.

2. Booking & Payment
Live Art Illustrations & Live Wedding Paintings
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date. Without payment, your booking is not confirmed.
• The remaining balance is due 3 months before the event date. If full payment is not received by the due date, the booking may be canceled, and the deposit will not be refunded.
• Bookings made within 3 months of the event require full payment upfront.
• Payments are non-transferable to another date unless otherwise agreed upon.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
• The deposit is strictly non-refundable, as it covers time spent on pre-event preparations and securing your date.
• If the client cancels more than 3 months before the event, no further payment is required, but the deposit is forfeited.
• If the client cancels within 3 months of the event, no refunds will be given, as the date has been reserved exclusively for your event.
• In the rare case that I (the artist) must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund, including the deposit, will be issued, or a replacement artist may be arranged (subject to availability).

4. Artistic Style & Creative Process
Live Art Guest Illustrations
• My live illustrations are created in a fashion-inspired style and do not include facial details. By booking, you acknowledge and accept this artistic approach.
• Each illustration is created on-site, and guests are welcome to take their sketches home.
• The number of guests illustrated depends on the timeframe booked and the event’s pace. I strive to capture as many guests as possible but do not guarantee every individual will be illustrated.
Live Wedding Paintings
• My wedding paintings focus on capturing the atmosphere, movement, and essence of the moment rather than exact photographic likeness.
• Facial features are painted in my signature style, which may not include hyper-realistic details.
• The final painting is completed after the event, allowing time for refinements and detailing in my studio.
5. Venue & Setup Requirements
• A suitable workspace with adequate lighting and shelter (if outdoors) must be provided.
• For live wedding paintings, the artist requires a suitable proximity to an electrical outlet (if needed for lighting).
• For live illustrations, the artist requires a table and chair for guest interactions.
• The client is responsible for ensuring the venue permits live art services.

6. Copyright & Usage Rights
• The artist retains full copyright to all artwork created, including live illustrations and wedding paintings.
• The artist reserves the right to photograph and share the artwork for promotional use on social media, website, and marketing materials.
• Clients may display and share their commissioned artwork for personal use but may not reproduce, sell, or use it for commercial purposes without written permission.

7. Additional Charges & Travel Fees
• Events outside of Adelaide may be subject to additional travel fees, which will be quoted at the time of booking.
• If additional time is required beyond the agreed-upon booking, an overtime fee per hour will apply.
• If significant adjustments to the painting are requested after completion, an additional fee may apply, subject to the artist’s availability.

8. Liability & Force Majeure
• The artist is not responsible for unforeseen circumstances that may impact live art creation, such as bad weather, lighting conditions, guest interruptions, or venue restrictions.
• In the event of illness, emergency, or force majeure, the artist will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide an alternative solution.
